There are many ways to Volunteer!

It takes a small army of volunteers and thousands of hours to put on a fantastic show.

The students and directors work incredibly hard and need our support!

Marching Band Opportunities:

  • Donate items, such as snacks, waters, meal supplies, band supplies
  • Be a Chaperone
    • Football games (Friday nights)
    • Competition days (weekend days, bus travel to competition and remain with students through the day)
    • Parades (bus travel, walk the parade route)
  • Hospitality
    • Food - we provide meals throughout the season and need help setting up, serving, cleaning up. Typically just an hour or two commitment
    • We host a few events through the season that require additional planning and extra hands: Pool Party, 8th Grade Night, Volunteer Tailgate, Banquet, etc.
  • UniformsNo sewing or experience required
    • All marching band members need to be fitted for a uniform. This is done during band camp starting July 22nd. Sign-up blocks will be a couple hours during the day.
    • Before and after football games, help the students with their uniforms and shako/plume distribution (headgear)
    • During competitions, help the students with their uniforms and shako/plume distribution (headgear)
    • Before and after parades, help the students with their uniforms and shako/plume distribution (headgear)
  • Props - these are the pieces that go on the field during the marching band show to accentuate the theme and enhance the overall presentation of the show.
    • There is a lot of work and hours that go into planning, creating, building and ultimately displaying the props for the show
    • Projects will start over the summer as soon as we have the show title/theme
    • All football games and competitions help will be needed to get the props on and off the field
  • Pit - all the instruments and electronic equipment that goes onto the field for the show at football games and competitions
  • Fundraising - any experience!
    • Spirit Nights
    • Capital Campaigns
    • Fundraisers
  • Social Media - we have a goal this year to be more interactive with our social media platforms, if you have this skill we need you!
  • Graphic Design - Shirt design, program design, images for social media, etc.
